About Mickayla Workman

Mickayla Workman is a young female writer from Calgary, Canada. She recently graduated with a BA in English at the University of Calgary Institution. She also spent her summer working for her Professor, wherein she collected data on comic books. Collider graciously granted Mickayla the opportunity to write Feature Articles on Western TV/ Movies; which is her first writing job ever. She is eager to utilize the writing skills she learned while in school, as well as her personal knowlegde of film. She also took many film analysis English courses wherein she realized she enjoys the critical engagement regarding the connections between camera work and the script work. Mickayla grew up hating Western film as a genre, but as she continued to give them another chance, she grew to love the iconic tropes regarding revenge and justice.
