It will always be a titanic task to capture the life and work of a human being and encapsulate it in a single film. People are complex individuals, and in trying to encapsulate their whole being into a few minutes of screen time, biopics face an obstacle far larger than those of any other genre. Thankfully, though, many filmmakers have tried their hands at this over the years with success, making some of the most interesting movies one can find.
